Top Travel & Local Android Apps in Switzerland: Q3 2024 Performance

The third quarter of 2024 saw interesting developments for the top travel and local apps on the Android platform in Switzerland. According to Sensor Tower data, these apps experienced diverse trends in downloads and active users.

Booking.com: Hotels & Travel maintained a consistent presence. Weekly downloads started at around 3.5K and experienced a peak in mid-July at 4.3K before gradually decreasing to 3K by the end of September. The weekly active users initially increased from approximately 142K to 159K by the end of July, before a steady decline set in, ending the quarter at 121K.

EasyPark - Parking made easy showed a notable surge in weekly downloads, hitting a peak of 5.4K in late July. However, this was followed by a decline, with downloads reducing to 2K by the quarter's end. The app's active user base reflected similar trends, peaking at 16.9K in July and tapering off to 13.2K by late September.

Polarsteps - Travel Tracker showed a steady performance in downloads, with numbers fluctuating around the 2.5K mark throughout the quarter, culminating in a rise to 3K by the end of September. The app's active users mirrored this growth, increasing from 15.2K to 18.3K over the same period.

Airbnb experienced a gradual decline in weekly downloads, starting at 2.7K and dropping to 2K by September's close. The weekly active users followed a downward trajectory as well, decreasing from 69K in early July to 57K by the quarter's conclusion.

Finally, SWISS displayed steady download numbers throughout most of the quarter, with a significant spike to 3.7K in the last week of September. Active users showed a similar pattern, starting at 3.7K and seeing a notable increase to 4.9K by the end of the quarter.
